Mayweather: I hear Marquez got cheated

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

MANILA, Philippines - Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. congratulated both Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez for their trilogy bout last November 12 in Las Vegas, but admitted hearing reports that Marquez was cheated.

“I was at the club. I had a party in Virginia. I got some text messages and some e-mails about the fight though,” Mayweather said in an interview with FightHype.

“I didn’t watch the fight, but from what I’m hearing, Marquez got cheated,” he added.

Pacquiao salvaged the victory with a controversial majority decision win over Marquez, but the Mexican boxer said afterward that he knew he was robbed of the win.

Mayweather congratulated both boxers for putting on a third fight, but questioned why it was necessary in the first place.

Mayweather, who fought Marquez in 12 uncompetitive rounds in 2009, did not comment on Pacquiao’s performance after the Filipino boxer filed a defamation of character case against him. He said, however, that he was “marvelous” against Marquez after a two-year layoff.

Arum’s fault

Mayweather also trashed Top Rank chief executive officer Bob Arum for harboring a vendetta against him and blocking a possible megafight with Pacquiao.

Arum used to promote Mayweather, but the two had a bitter falling out when Mayweather expressed his desire to take control of his career. Mayweather now promotes himself in partnership with Golden Boy Promotions.

Mayweather also denied that he has accused Pacquiao of steroid use.

Mayweather’s adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, announced recently that the boxer is aiming to put on a fight on May 5, 2012, and hinted that they may be targeting Pacquiao.

The boxer neither confirmed nor denied his intention to fight Pacquiao, only saying, “Win, lose or draw, whoever I fight still has to be tested with random blood and urine tests.”

Boxing observers believe that Mayweather may be more eager to pursue a fight with Pacquiao now, given the Filipino icon’s lackluster performance against Marquez.

Pacquiao, for his part, said he was ready to fight Mayweather. “Let’s get it on. Let’s make the fight happen,” Pacquiao said after his bout against Marquez.

A Pacquiao-Mayweather match may end up being the most lucrative fight in boxing history, but it remains to be seen if it will happen as Arum is seemingly intent on putting on a fourth match between Pacquiao and Marquez.

11-11-11; Repetitive Numbers and Their Meaning

Friday, November 11, 2011

11:11, 11 11, 1111, 11, activation, DNA, Golden AgePhysical reality is a consciousness program created by digital codes. Numbers, numeric codes, define our existence. Human DNA, our genetic memory, is encoded to be triggered by digital codes at specific times and frequencies. Those codes awaken the mind to the change and evolution of consciousness. 11:11 is one of those codes, meaning activation of DNA.

You will note that seeing 11 11 frequently creates synchronicities in your life.

11:11 - 11 is a double digit and is therefore considered a Master or Power Number. In Numerology 11 represents impractical idealism, visionary, refinement of ideals, intuition, revelation, artistic and inventive genius, avant-garde, androgynous, film, fame, refinement fulfilled when working with a practical partner. Eleven is a higher octave of the number two . It carries psychic vibrations and has an equal balance of masculine and feminine properties. Because eleven contains many gifts such as psychic awareness and a keen sense of sensitivity, it also has negative effects such as treachery and betrayal from secret enemies.

Many associate 11:11 with a wake-up code/alarm as they see it on digit clocks and watches. It can also be seen as a key to unlock the subconscious mind, our genetic encoded memories, that we are spirits having a physical experience, not physical beings embarking on a spiritual experience.

11:11 or derivatives of these numbers, 111 and 11, are digits that repeat in time thus a metaphor for reality as patterns that repeat in time for us to experience. This can refer to the rise and fall of civilizations, our personal experiences and lessons, loops in time. They are cycles of time that create and recreate following the blueprint.
spiritual psychology and numerology     SPIRITUAL PSYCHOLOGY: Carl Jung, the father of analytical psychology, was fascinated by numerology.  Not only did he study various numbers and their meanings, but he also looked at how (and why) our culture was (and still is) fascinated with numbers.

Ellie and 11:11 …. In 1991, when I was hosting the talk show “The Metaphysical Experience”, a woman named Solara was my guest. Her topic was Activation of the 11:11 Doorway. It was all about ascension and the beginning of awareness of the 11:11 code. In 1995, a Crystalinks’ reader named Joe emailed about his experiences with the numbers 111:111, hence the file you are reading was first created and in so doing I took a long hard look at this phenomena experienced by those around me. Each time Joe was about to go through another major spiritual awakening, an epiphany of some kind, those numbers would appear in his physical experience to signal the upcoming change. The numbers say, “Pay attention!”

11 represents spiraling twin strands of human DNA moving into higher frequency of consciousness.

11 represents balance.

11+11=22=4=Time. 22 is a Master or Masonic Number.

Some souls see a Golden Age emerging, as told by the ancient prophets. Gold refers to Alchemy , the alchemical changes that are taking place in our bodies in the evolution of consciousness.

Reality as a geometric design is based on numbers (universal language) that repeat in cycles to create the linear time experiment. In Pythagorean Numerolgy, a cycle is based on 9. 9=End. 9/11= end of the DNA biogen(et)ic program running at the moment.

We all have one or more numeric codes that follow the blueprint of Sacred Geometry. It is about the spirals of consciousness, Fibonacci Numbers, the Golden Spiral, also found in perfection, in the exact proportions in the Great Pyramid .

Most digital codes that evoke memory are double digits or countdowns such as 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 or 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, which goes to Zero Point Merge
11:11

TRIVIA: The numerology of the
Mayan calendar end date
of December 21, 2012 is:
12+21+2012 = 2045
2+0+4+5= 11

You will experience a sudden awakening after which reality is never the same. You are going to create clarity, healing and balance for yourself. Do not expect others in your life to be on this journey with you. It is yours alone as it is for most souls. You will have to seek new friends of like mind who are also being triggered by the digits. Once you open the Digital Door, there is no going back. Your soul will automatically and quickly move you from level to level of experience until you ‘get it’. Your consciousness is expanding and therefore you will, manifest faster and with greater comprehension, becoming more aware of the meaning of synchronicities that will become more and more frequent. They are created by your soul creates to help you remember that you are a soul spark in a physical program that is about to end, evolve back to higher consciousness.

Once you see your numeric codes, you have activated something in your DNA codes and they will continue to appear until you ‘get the message’ … it is ‘time’ to move on.

Upon seeing your digit encoded numbers, you may feel a sense of urgency or related emotions. Chill out! For NOW there is TIME!

The numbers usually signal changes in the patterns of your life.

They may confirm something that you are experiencing whenever the numbers appear to you.

You may dream also about the numbers, linked with things you do not as yet understand, or wake up at the same time every night with those numbers on your digital clock, ie. 11:11

5 News Websites Blocks in Sri Lanka over "Insults"

Monday, November 7, 2011

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lankan officials say five news websites have been blocked because they committed character assassination and insulted people including key political leaders.

Media groups were planning protests against the action that one group called undemocratic. Sri Lankan laws do not restrict the press from criticizing leaders.

Information and Media Ministry Secretary W.B. Ganegala said Monday that many complaints were made against the sites. They were blocked starting Saturday.

Director general of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Anusha Palpita said his commission blocked five sites. They are www.lankaenews.com, srilankamirror.com, srilankaguardian.com, paparacigossip9.com and www.lankawaynews.com.

Acting president of the Sri Lanka Working Journalist Association Gnanasiri Kottigoda condemned the move and called it undemocratic.

Giant Asteroid may Hit the Earth by Tuesday

This NASA image shows an artist's impression of an asteroid belt in orbit around a starA massive asteroid will make a rare fly-by Tuesday, and although it poses no danger of crashing to Earth, US scientists said this week they are looking forward to getting a closer look.

“This is not a potentially hazardous asteroid, just a good opportunity to study one,” said National Science Foundation astronomer Thomas Statler.

The circular asteroid, named 2005 YU55, is about 1,300 feet (400 meters) wide and will come closer than the Moon, zipping by at a distance of 202,000 miles (325,000 kilometers), the US space agency said.

The time of the nearest flyby is expected to be at 2328 GMT (6:28 Eastern time in the US).

The encounter will be the closest by an asteroid of that size in more than 30 years, and a similar event will not happen again until 2028.

Astronomers who have studied the object, part of the C-class of asteroids, say it is very dark, like the color of carbon, and quite porous.

It was first discovered in 2005 by Robert McMillan of the Spacewatch Project, a solar-system-scanning group of scientists near Tucson, Arizona.

While 2005 YU55 will stay a safe distance away, it is part of a crew of 1,262 big asteroids circling the Sun and measuring more than 500 feet (150 meters) across that NASA classifies as “potentially hazardous.”

“We want to study these asteroids so if one does look like it may hit us someday, we’ll know what to do about it,” Statler said.

The asteroid’s closest pass is set to take place in 2094, at a distance of 167,000 miles (269,000 kilometers), according to forecasts.

“The observations will give us a piece of the puzzle, one we don’t get many chances to see,” said Don Yeomans of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

“At one time, we thought these were the asteroids that delivered carbon and other elements to the early Earth, so they are pretty important.”

NASA said the last time a space rock this big approached Earth was in 1976, “although astronomers did not know about the flyby at the time.”

Philippines bests India as No. 1 in BPO

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - After challenging India for the top position for several years, the Philippines is now the world leader in business support functions like shares services and business process outsourcing, according to the latest reports and trends analyses.

In fact, the country overtook India in these categories last year, according to IBM’s latest Global Locations Trend Annual Report, released recently in New York.

India now ranks No. 2, the first time it was not in the leading position for these activities, according to the IBM report, launched in October but made available online last month.

“The Philippines has taken over the lead in the global ranking from India,” the report said.

The IBM report said the Philippines offered a similarly attractive business environment for international business support functions as India. Unlike India’s BPO hot spots, however, labor costs here have not increased as much.

On Thursday (December 2), the Contract Center Association of the Philippines said the country had become the call centre of the world, with around 350,000 Filipinos working in call centers against India’s 330,000-strong workforce.

Revenues from the country’s call center industry are also expected to reach $5.7 billion this year, higher than India’s $5.5 billion, the CCAP said.

The call centre industry, which provides so-called “voice” services like customer support and sales, is part of the BPO industry.

Call centres make up 70 per cent of the BPO industry in the Philippines.

Currently, there are 600,000 Filipinos employed in the country’s BPO industry, according to the Business Processing Association of the Philippines.

India is here

In yet another sign of the Philippines’ BPO dominance, Tata Consultancy Services, the information technology services, business solutions and outsourcing arm of India’s giant Tata Group, opened its first BPO centre in Southeast Asia at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig on Thursday.

“We believe that the Philippines has a very high quality of talent that can represent the company before our Asia-Pacific customers and our global customers,” said Vish Iyer, head for the Asia-Pacific region for Tata Consultancy Services.

Iyer also said Tata chose the Philippines because it “wants to be here to see the Philippine BPO industry grow from its current $9 billion (in annual revenues) to the projected $25 billion in 2016.”

The BPO centre that Tata Consultancy inaugurated will have 400 seats, and a target of three clients, including Citibank.

Abid Ali Z. Neemuchwala, vice president and global head for business process services and process excellence, said the company expects to more than double this to 1,000 seats and a target of five clients two years from now.

The firm generated revenues of about $6 billion last year.

Support for BPO industry

In November, Philippine senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago said she would file a measure to “jump-start legislative support for the BPO industry, especially its workers” and urged other legislators “to formulate laws supporting this booming sunshine industry”.

According to the International Labour Organisation, the BPO industry may be broadly divided into voice services such as call and contact centers, and non-voice or “back office” services, like finance and accounting, data processing and management, and human resource development.

An ILO report released last July noted that Filipino BPO employees were earning 53 percent more than workers of the same age in other industries.

Local BPO employees also work 44.7 hours per week on the average, with overtime work averages of 1.12 hours per week.

Night work

The study also found that 42.6 per cent of BPO employees in the country work at night, and that respondents have reported sleep disorders, fatigue, eye strain and body pains.

Following India in IBM’s ranking of BPO leaders were the United States, Poland, China, Britain, Columbia, Costa Rica, Fiji, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Hungary, Australia, Egypt, Chile, France, Canada, France, Singapore and the Netherlands.

The IBM report said Sri Lanka was another Asian country that had succeeded in positioning itself as an alternative to India. With Inquirer Research

Victorious Pacquiao admits he was hurt by Margarito

Sunday, November 14, 2010

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE 1) – Although Manny Pacquiao dominated his 12-round bout against Antonio Margarito, he admitted that he was also hurt by the sturdy Mexican.

“I hurt once, in one round when I stayed in the ropes,” Pacquiao said in the post-fight interview. “I recovered right away.”

The “Fighter of the Decade” hammered a unanimous decision against “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito with the scores 120-108, 118-110 and 119-109.

He won his 8th world crown, the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight title, at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“He’s strong. I never expected him to be as strong as he was. He’s a very tough fighter. I can’t believe he took all those punches,” Pacquiao said in a Reuters report.

The boxer who is also a congressman also stated that he was lucky because he was able to overcome Margarito’s punches to his body and face.

The Mexican, however, suffered cuts on his eyes. The wounds took a toll on him as the fight progressed.

Pacquiao said he felt for his Margarito because of his swollen and cut eyes as well as his bloody face.

The Filipino boxing superstar mentioned that he was trying to motion to call for a doctor to take a look at Margarito’s cuts.

“There were really bad cuts in the eyes,” Pacquiao said. “Boxing is not for killing each other, you know.”

He also stated that he was not looking for a knockout in the final round. “I take it easy because my trainer told me to take it easy and just be careful,” he related.

Not the end for Margarito

The Mexican, for his part, acknowledged that Pacquiao was much quicker than him.

“We knew Manny was very fast… We were going good until I got caught, and then that’s when the problems started coming,” Reuters quoted Margarito as saying.

He also disclosed he did not consider retiring against the Sarangani province congressman.

“No, no way. I’m a Mexican and we fight until the end. This time I failed Mexico but we will fight to the end,” said Margarito, who was seeking to redeem himself from the infamous hand wrap controversy that plagued his career for almost two years.

Pacquiao’s trainer, however, wished that the fight was halted.

“We didn’t lose a round,” said Freddie Roach. “I wish they had stopped the fight. They probably ruined his (Margarito’s) career by not stopping the fight.”

No need for Mayweather

Meanwhile, Pacquiao was asked about the possibility of facing undefeated American superstar Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

“For me if the fight happens, it happens. If not, I’m okay because I really don’t need him. I’m satisfied with what I did in boxing with all the achievements that I have. I’m satisfied and happy. I thank God for everything he gave to me,” said the Filipino boxing superstar.

Pacquiao was supposed to face Mayweather this year if not for the glitches in negotiations.

They were scheduled to face off first on March 13 then on November 13.

“If the fight happens, then it’s good for the people who love boxing,” he added.

Record 8 world titles

The triumphant Filipino superstar raised his hand in victory to the delight of thousands of his supporters who watched the bout live at the Cowboys Stadium.

Aside from winning the WBC super welterweight crown, Pacquiao also held 7 world titles in 7 weight classes:

• WBC flyweight title
• International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior bantamweight title
• Linear featherweight title
• WBC junior lightweight title
• WBC lightweight title
• International Boxing Organization (IBO) junior welterweight title
• World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title

Pacquiao now has 52 wins (with 38 KOs), 3 losses and 2 draws.

Margarito, on the other hand, fell to 38 wins (with 27 KOs) and 7 losses. – With a report from Reuters

JYJ: The Biggest Boy Band In The World You’ve Never Heard Of

Saturday, October 30, 2010

By Lyndsey Parker Fri Oct 29, 2010

Trivia question: Who’s the biggest boy band in the world? Backstreet Boys? *NSYNC? New Kids? Hanson? Take That? Menudo? Nope. According to reliable source Guinness World Records, it’s JYJ.

Never heard of JYJ? Well, obviously you haven’t been to Korea lately, where the group’s singers, Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, and Kim Junsu, are bigger than Justin Timberlake. Their popularity in their homeland landed them in Guinness in 2008 and 2009 for having the world’s largest official fanclub (more than 800,000 members in Seoul alone) and for being the most photographed celebrities on the planet (they’ve been snapped professionally approximately 500 million times).

And now JYJ are going global, as they release their first English-language album, The Beginning, on Atlantic Records. The disc features production on two tracks, “Empty” and “Be My Girl,” by superstar studio guru Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige), and the album’s lead single, “Ayyy Girl,” actually boasts vocals and production by a little American artist named Kanye West.

While the members of JYJ started performing together in 2003 in the Korean boy band TVXQ (who released four successful albums in Korea and four in Japan), the new album title The Beginning is apt here, since JYJ is a rebirth for them–and not just because they’re finally launching their careers in America. It took a long and arduous journey for JYJ to reach this point. Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu, while still in TVXQ, had to sue their record label, SM Entertainment, in order to get out of what was basically a ludicrously unfair 13-year “slave” contract. Despite having sold millions of units and breaking world records in Asia, until they successfully extricated themselves from SM Entertainment, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu were literally broke.

But things are looking up for JYJ now. A recent issue of Billboard with JYJ on the cover sold out in 24 hours, for instance, and their record label actually had to halt all pre-orders for the limited luxury edition of The Beginning due to too much demand. And obviously, JYJ’s Western-friendly R&B sound has already earned them some very high-profile U.S. supporters.

“I’m really glad to work with JYJ on their debut album,” says Jerkins. “It’s all about the East meeting the West these days, and the world is becoming a melting pot of various cultures. To have Kanye and myself champion the cause of unifying the world through the international language of music and introducing top artists from one end of the globe to this end in America makes this a very special project to us.” And JYJ add: “It was a great new experience that we are really privileged to have. We felt the pressure of working with such superstars initially, but our anxieties were allayed when Kanye/Rodney showed us great support. We were able to have a really good time working with them and exchanging ideas about music with one another.”

Prepare to witness JYJ set a whole bunch of other Guinness records in the near future.
